First Turkish autonomous underwater apparatus Dringöz is ready for operation

In Turkey, underwater tests of the first domestic autonomous submarine Deringöz, developed by ASELSAN.

have been successfully completed.

According to the defense company, the device has a modular structure, provides autonomous mobility under water, can be used for both military and civilian purposes.

The distinctive characteristics of the Deringöz autonomous submarine are high maneuverability, accurate navigation, customizable loading, optical and hydrocarbon visualization technologies, as well as wireless infrastructure.

Aselsan development is an innovative technical solution ready to perform a wide range of tasks. In particular, it can be effectively used to perform tasks such as underwater research, reconnaissance and observation, detecting mines, checking pipelines, as well as protecting ports and bases.

designed by the engineers of Aselsan, Deringöz is designed to satisfy the needs for underwater operations. Dringöz is able to work at a depth of 600 meters and attracts attention with its modular architecture.

The device has the possibilities of wireless communication and the customizable load configuration, which can be increased in accordance with changing needs. Deringöz capabilities provide maximum speed of 5.5 knots and scanning speed of 3 knots.

It is expected that due to its functionality, Dringöz will play a key role in underwater missions and will become an important component of the Turkish sea power.
