The Fitch Ratings International Rating Agency has published a forecast for the demand of the European Union (EU) for gas.
annual demand for natural gas in the EU countries for 2022 is predicted in the amount of 357 billion cubic meters (10% less than in 2021), for 2023 – 339 billion cubic meters (5% less than this year) .
According to Fitch Ratings, the demand of the EU countries for Azerbaijani gas this year and in 2023 will amount to 12 billion cubic meters. In other words, in terms of export, Azerbaijani gas ranks fourth after LNG (liquefied natural gas), Norway and African countries.
