As the last measure in the fight against the controversial plans of the current leadership of the International Football Federation (FIFA, FIFA), a number of football federations of European countries have announced a possible output from FIFA. On Wednesday, October 20, the DPA agency reports on the results of the negotiations of the head of FIFA Gianni Infantino with European football heads.

European Football Federations and South America extremely negatively perceive the idea of ​​infantino about holding the World Cup in a two-year cycle (now the tournament is held every four years – Ed.). In particular, the head of the Spanish La League Javier Tebas called such plans “fatal mistake”, which is able to destroy the “ecosystem of modern football”. In turn, the head of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA, UEFA) Alexander Chefherin threatened a boycott of such a tournament.
