For first time, a student from Azerbaijan won a gold medal at International Olympiad

For the first time, a student from Azerbaijan won a gold medal at the International Olympiad in Mathematics.

From 6 to 12 April 2022 in the city of Eger, Hungary, the 11th European Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) was held. At the Olympics, which was attended by 222 schoolgirls from 57 countries of the world, Azerbaijan represented 4 students, told Haqqin.az in the Ministry of Education.

Schoolgirls from Azerbaijan successfully performed at the Olympics, won one gold, two bronze and one incentive prize. Pupils of the 10th grade lyceum with a bias of physics, mathematics and informatics, which is in direct submission of the Ministry of Education, Fidan Garayeva won the Gold Medal, student of the 10th class of the Baku Turkish Lyceum of the Solidarity Foundation of Turkey Fidan Jafarli and Safura Ramizgiz – Bronze Medal, and student The 9th grade of the same lyceum Sevinj Makhmudov was awarded the “Promotional Award” certificate.
