Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan: Baku handed to Yerevan an answer to last proposals under peace treaty

Azerbaijan sent Armenia a response to the latest proposals regarding a peace treaty, Interfax reports.

“A package of proposals that we previously worked for a month was transferred to Armenia,” said Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jaykhun Bayramov in an interview with the state television channel Aztv.

The minister added that the negotiation process with Armenia continues. He noted that he expects meetings of the parties in 2024.

Bayramov emphasized that recently they have received positive signals from Yerevan in Baku, but are waiting for real actions from Armenia according to the peace process.

“We really look at the peace process. But we must understand that the peace treaty is not a 100%solution to all issues. A peacekeeping agreement is the foundation of further discussions. This is at least the conditions for the formation of normal neighboring relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia “, – added the minister.
