Former Prosecutor General of Armenia will leave for another two months

The arrest of the former chairman of the Investigative Committee and the ex-general prosecutor of Armenia Agvana Ovsepyan extended for 2 months, reporting Armenian media.

Recall, Ovsepyan held the position of Prosecutor General of Armenia in 2004-2013, and was also the head of the Investigative Committee in 2014-2018.

According to investigators, Ovsepyan, being the Prosecutor General and the Head of the Investigation Committee, participated in the management of a number of business companies engaged in entrepreneurial activities. In addition, the ex-general probe received a bribe in the amount of 385 thousand dollars and made the embezzlement of property in the amount of 1.6 million dollars. Also, Ovsepyan was charged with washed by 2.6 million dollars.
