Four countries ask EC to ensure gas supply from Azerbaijan to Europe

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyyarto said that Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia turned to the European Commission with a request to allocate funds for the development of infrastructure for the supply of Azerbaijani gas to Europe.

He said this at a press conference with the Minister of Economics of Azerbaijan Mikail Dzhabbarov, Russian media reported.

According to Siyyarto, together with the Romanians, Bulgarians and Slovaks, Hungary demanded that the EC priority provide financial support for the development of infrastructure in the region necessary to include an increased amount of Azerbaijani gas along the route through Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia.

As the Foreign Minister of Hungary noted, we are talking about the development of infrastructure, the construction of new interconnectors and an increase in the power of existing ones.
