France is ready to respond to threats in Niger – General Staff

The French army is ready to respond to any exacerbation of the situation aimed at damaging military facilities and the country’s diplomatic missions in Niger.

This is stated in the statement of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of France.

On August 31, the Niger Military Administration announced the removal of immunity from the Ambassador of France to Niamey Silven Itt, and on August 25, the diplomat was entrepreneurial to leave the country within 48 hours.

Itta refused to fulfill the requirements of the ultimatum, in response, the military authorities of Niger decided to deport his deportation.

French President Emmanuel Macron previously stated that the ambassador would remain at the post, despite the “pressure of the putschers.”
