The US audit Board unanimously allowed to free the citizen of Pakistan Ahmed Rabbani from prison in Guantanamo, reports the official website REPRIEVE.
In 2002, Rabbani was falsely identified as a wanted US Hasan Gul and transferred to the American military in Pakistan. Although, soon the American side understood his mistake, Rabbani was kept in Afghanistan and Guantanamo and was subjected to torture for 19 years.
Since 2004, he has never been accused of a crime and was not subjected to a trial. Rabbani himself argued that his crime was that he spoke in Arabic. “
After the entry of Obama to the post of President of the United States in 2009, Ahmad Rabbani was one of 71 people who were considered too innocent to prevent the charge, but too dangerous for liberation.
