G7 summit started in Hiroshima

In Japan, the Summit “Big Seven”.

Along with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kisida, leaders of the USA, France, Great Britain, Germany, Canada and Italy take part in the discussions.

Representatives of the EU, Indonesia, India, South Korea, Australia and Vietnam are also invited to the summit.

The Summit program began with a visit to Hiroshima’s memorial park, where the participants honored the memory of the victims of the 1945 atomic bombardment.

Joe Biden became the second American leader who visited Hiroshima after Barack Obama.

The United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, and on Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. Almost 210 thousand people died.

The G7 leaders, considered one of the important international discussions of global political and economic problems, takes place at the Grand Prince Hiroshima hotel.

The summit will last until May 21.
