This result of the auction market participants perceived as the refusal of the Russian company to significantly increase gas supplies to Europe. Because of this, the deficit that develops in the region in front of the autumn-winter period is only aggravated.
Recall that a month ago, President of Azerbairy Ilham Aliyev, during a joint chaired by the European Council, Charl, Michel, stated that the export of Azerbaijani gas to the European market would increase.
The supply of Azerbaijani gas on the transadriatic gas pipeline (TAP) to consumers in Italy, Greece and Bulgaria began on December 31, 2020. TAP gas pipeline is part of the SUGK, which is estimated at $ 38 billion
The annual supply of Azerbaijani gas to Europe is provided at 10 billion cubic meters. In addition, 6 billion cubic meters in the year of Azerbaijani gas is intended for deliveries to the Western regions of Turkey. Deliveries to Turkey began in the summer of 2018.
