General Staff of Ukraine announced priorities of Russia in war

The priority of the Russian Federation remains to hold positions in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, as well as the land corridor to the Crimea, said Alexey Gromov, deputy head of the main operational department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He noted that Russian troops in eastern Ukraine concentrate their efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Avdeevsky directions.

According to Gromov, during the week the Russian troops waged offensive operations in the Kharkov and Kupyansky directions, but they had no success.

The Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces expected the Russians to “maintain a military presence in the border areas of [Chernihiv and Sumy regions] in order to prevent the transfer of … [Ukrainian] troops to threatening directions to the areas of active hostilities”.
