Georgia awaits vaccine from India

Georgia will most likely be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine from India, said Paata Imnadze, deputy head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.

“One of the largest manufacturers of vaccines recognized by WHO is India, where the greatest chance of getting a vaccine comes from,” Sputnik Georgia quotes him.

The Georgian official added that negotiations are also underway with China and Western countries, from which promises were received. However, Imnadze stated that the European countries themselves cannot get enough vaccine preparation to be able to “share” with Georgia.
