Georgia requires immediately introduce visas for Russians

Influential Georgian non -governmental human rights organizations demanded to establish a visa regime for Russian citizens, reports Georgia News.

“We believe that control over the entrance to Georgia of Russian citizens and enterprises is the issue of national security of the country. Russia has committed actions prohibited by the international law in Ukraine and Georgia, and continues to violate the territorial integrity of our country,” the NGO statement said in a statement .

In NPOs, it is believed that the topic of mass arrival in Georgia of Russian citizens has recently become very relevant. They believe that Russian citizens can freely use Georgian Abkhazia and South Ossetia to get out of the difficult economic situation created by sanctions against Russia. “We demand to immediately establish a visa regime for Russian citizens and revise the legal status of those who have already entered the territory of the country,” the statement that 19 organizations signed.
