Georgian Prime Minister: EU and US countries need deoligarchization

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze called on EU and the USA to conduct a deoligarchization to protect their national interests. He stated this on the air of local television, the Georgian media reported.

“I once again express hope, this is the optimism of our team, which, first of all, will carry out deoligarchization. The United States can also achieve deoligarchization and will be able to more reliably protect its own national interests,” the words of the head of government are given.

According to the politician, today “there are serious problems in this regard.” Kobahidze believes that because of the oligarchs “sovereignty of countries is under serious pressure.”

The requirement of deoligarchization is one of the conditions for Georgia to obtain the status of a candidate for EU members.
