Georgian Prosecutor General Irakli Shotadze announced a resignation from his post. This is stated in the statement of the head of the law enforcement agency.
According to Shotadze, he made such a decision on health reasons.
Prosecutor General said that he had already submitted an appropriate appeal to the parliament.
Irakli Shotadze headed the General Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia on February 18, 2020.
