Germany will place Patriot air defense systems in Poland

Germany from December 13 will begin to prepare for the transfer of Patriot air defense systems to Poland. A reconnaissance group will go to the country to determine suitable positions for accommodation, Ukrainian media reports.

Information about the start of training was confirmed by German security sources.

After determining the right positions for placing air defense systems in the country, it is planned to deploy three military units.

The goal of placing air defense is to protect the critical infrastructure on the eastern flank of NATO. The decision on this subject was made as a result of the fall of missiles in Poland during a massive Russian shelling in Ukraine.

Note that Poland advocated for the armament to be transferred to Ukraine, despite the fact that air defense is part of the integrated NATO system.
