In January-November 2021, the average monthly nominal wage of employees, an increase of 2.9 percent compared with the corresponding period of 2020, was 724.1 manat.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the highest salary was noted in the areas of mining, financial and insurance activities, professional, scientific and technical activities, information and communication, as well as transport and warehousing.
On December 1st last year, the number of employees in the economy of Azerbaijan compared to the same period 2020 increased by 16.8 thousand people or 1.2% and amounted to 1,704.9 thousand people. Of these, 905.7 thousand people are in the public sector of the economy, and 799.2 thousand people – in the non-state sector.
