Great Britain needs new working hands

British Prime Minister Liz Tracers intends to revise the country’s immigration policy in order to cope with the acute shortage of labor in key sectors, local media reports.

Among other things, the new prime minister plans to expand the list of scarce professions, which apply a lightweight procedure for obtaining working visas. This measure will allow British employers to attract more employees from abroad with a smaller bureaucracy. In particular, specialists in laying the broadband Internet network can be included in the list. It is possible that the authorities will also soften the requirements for knowledge of the English language necessary for obtaining a visa.

In addition, the tracks are going to remove restrictions on the hiring of foreign workers involved for seasonal work in the field of agriculture. It is expected that the upper limit of 40,000 visas will be canceled, as well as the maximum stay of six months.
