Employees of the special appointment of the Austrian Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the operation, detained a 39-year-old citizen of Greece, who is suspected of disclosing the sovereign and espionage in favor of Russia. He faces up to five years in prison, writes Kronen Zeitung.
According to the publication, the suspect is the son of a former employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of Russia, who during the service worked as a diplomat in Germany and Austria.
During a search in the house of a man in Vienna, employees of the Austrian special forces detachment seized listening devices, several mobile phones, laptops and tablets, the publication notes.
