Greece forbade neo -Nazi party to participate in May 21 elections

The Supreme Court of Greece prohibited the National Party of the Greeks associated with the neo -Nazi group “Golden Dawn”, to participate in the general election on May 21. This was reported by the Greek guest radio company ERT.

The Ultra Parability of the Greeks was founded by convicts Ilias Kasidiaris, an ex-deputy of the parliament from the Golden Dawn.

The verdict of the Greek Court is based on the recently adopted law, which prohibits the participation in the elections to convicts for serious crimes, in particular the creation of a criminal organization.

Last week, the Supreme Court of Greece also prohibited the election to the elections to two other ultra -right parties – the Patriotic Union and the Patride party.
