Green Party stated his candidate for Merkel

The co-chairman of the “Union-90” / “Green” Annalen Barbok will be a candidate for German Chancellors from this German political force on the upcoming elections to the Bundestag (German Parliament). This decision is made on Monday at the end of the meeting of the Federal Board of “Ecologists”, TASS reports.

“It’s time to say that the first candidate for the chancers from the” Green “will be Annala Berbok,” the co-chairman of the association Robert Habek announced at a press conference. He called the Challenger “possessing fighting qualities of a volitional woman,” which knows exactly what he wants.

“I am deeply convinced that this country needs a new beginning,” 40-year-old Barbok stated from its part.

Finally, the applicant from Green will be approved at the federal congress, which is scheduled for June 11-13.

Polls show that the party stably holds second place and only 3-5% behind the leader, the ruling CDS / HSS conservative unit. It is noted that “green” put forward their candidate to German Chancers for the first time in their 40 years of history, reports Deutsche Welle.

If this political force goes into the next Government of the Federal Republic of Germany as a junior partner, Besbok can become a vice-chancellor and lead one of the main departments, for example, a Foreign Ministry. Berbok is known for its sharp statements to Russia, and also opposes the implementation of the North Stream-2 gas pipeline construction project.
