Gustry on accumulation of trucks in Azerbaijani-Russian border

“in recent days there is a relative increase in the density of the flow of trucks passing through the customs post” Samur “of the Northern Territorial Chief Customs Administration of Azerbaijan on the border with Russia.” About this Haqqin.az reported in the press service of the State Customs Committee (GTC).

It is noted that the daily number of trucks on the export control line of the customs post “Samur” decreased to 150-200. The throughput of this customs post is 500 trucks per day in both directions, that is, only 1,000 vehicles per day. However, the infrastructure of the customs post on the Russian side cannot ensure the passage of such a number of cars, including due to the leading construction and repair work.

“Customs authorities of Azerbaijan discuss this issue with Russian colleagues, and measures are taken to eliminate vehicle accumulation,” said GTC.

In accordance with the order of President Ilham Aliyev, construction works are underway at the customs post “Hanoba”. After their completion, the accumulation of trucks at customs posts will be eliminated.

Currently, the customs post “Samur” works in reinforced mode, all necessary measures are being taken to eliminate the accumulation of trucks. The department said it is expected that this problem will be solved in the coming days.
