Hankendi residents still suffer from drinking water deficiency. The command of Russian troops is still powerless in solving the problem with water supply in the city. Armenian satellite announced the director of the company “Vodokanal” Gagik Poghosyan.
In the meantime, the residents of Hankendi remain without water are delivered by cars with the help of Russian peacekeepers. According to Pogosyan, one of the rivers feeding Stepanakert, completely dried, the other two are now given 10 liters of water per second, the other, which previously gave 95-100 liters, now gives 30 liters.
“We placed 26 polyethylene tanks in areas where there are not enough water, in apartment and private houses. In the 24-hour mode, we fill in these tanks so that the population could take water from there,” said Pogosyan.
Water supply, according to him, will be restored only when rains begin. According to Pogosyan, there was no such 30 years for so much time, 53 days, did not go rains. According to weather forecasters, in 2020-21, rainfalls should have been 400-450 millimeters, this year it fell 200, almost as in the desert.
In the meantime, Armenian media write about the active restoration work in Shushe, the construction of a new power plant and the continuous water supply of the liberated Azerbaijani city.
