The head of the apparatus of the National Assembly of Armenia Vaan Naribekyan in the coming days will resign, the newspaper Zhogovurda writes.
Earlier, the publication reported that the ruling parliamentary faction “Civil Treaty” on January 30 held a meeting in closed mode. It was noted that the main topic of the discussion was the initiative of the head of the Ayk Kondzhoryan faction, secretary of the faction of Arthur Ovannisyan and their assistants.
According to the newspaper, assistants from the ruling faction require awards from the chairman of the National Assembly Alena Simonyan and the head of the apparatus Vaana Naribekyan. Meanwhile, according to the law of the prize, only civil servants are issued.
Deputies Kondzhoryan and Ovannisyan set themselves the task – at all costs to receive these awards, putting forward the condition that otherwise the head of the NS apparatus should leave.

As a result, during a closed meeting, it was decided not to give out prizes to the assistants of the deputies, to close the topic, and the head of the parliamentary apparatus is dismissed.
Recall that in July 2022, deputies of the Armenia Parliament from the ruling faction “Civil Treaty” received prizes totaling 48.8 million drams (more than $ 115 thousand) on the occasion of the Constitution Day. Parliamentarians received rewards in the amount of the monthly salary – 661 thousand drams (more than $ 1.5 thousand) without deduction of taxes, and the heads of parliamentary commissions – 739 thousand drams (about $ 2 thousand) without deduction of taxes.
