The head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, criticized the authorities of Derbent for the decision to launch cars with loudspeakers along the streets of the city to call men to urgently appear at the military enlistment office.
“Make a fool to pray to God, he will be broken down! This is just about a strange decision made in Derbent: in the city they called to appear at the military registration and enlistment office. The organizers themselves call this an additional measure of informing citizens. And for me – unusual stupidity ! ” – wrote Melikov in his telegram channel.
In his opinion, such actions give the ground for unnecessary reasoning and panic.
“Dear Derbents, sorry for this trick. He entrusted all responsible persons, including law enforcement agencies, urgently understand the situation and take the most stringent measures against the perpetrators,” Melikov said.
After that, the military commissar of Derbent Farid Musaev apologized. He asked for forgiveness for incorrect information, which previously spread through the loudspeakers. He also called on local residents to observe calm and not to panic.
