The head of the Provisional Government of Pakistan Anvar Khak Kakar took the oath and officially took office.
According to local media, the ceremony took place in the Presidential Palace in Islamabad.
The oath of the new head of government was accepted by President Arif Alvi.
The ceremony was also attended by the ex-Prime Minister of Shahbaz Sharif.
Anvar Hak Kakar will act as the head of the government of Pakistan to the upcoming extraordinary elections.
