The leaders of the states included in the Shanghai organization of cooperation (SCO), on Friday began a meeting of the summit in Samarkand in a narrow composition.
Further on Friday, a meeting of the Council of Heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in an expanded composition is planned. According to its results, the Samarkand declaration of the SCO and a number of other documents will be signed, Russian media write.
As previously reported, it is planned to adopt a good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation between SCO members at 2023-2027, as well as conceptual software documents in the areas of the economy, energy, digitalization, transport, communications, innovation and new technologies, and agriculture .
In addition, the summit should be completed as a procedure for taking Iran in the SCO as a full member.
