The investigative publication “Project” established the names of 166 Russian military who give orders during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
According to the publication, only 39 of them (23%) have real combat experience. The article notes that the average income of the officer, who is now commanding the Ground Forces, in 2019 amounted to about 270 thousand rubles a month, an officer of the General Staff – about 300 thousand, commanders of military districts and separate branches of troops – about 900 thousand. At the same time, ordinary soldiers received no more than 50 thousand rubles a month.
According to the publication, every third higher commander of the Russian army participating in the war in Ukraine has debts, including housing and communal services and alimony, five of them were brought to administrative responsibility. Every fifth commander had fines of the traffic police, while every sixth did not pay them on time. Before the war, Russia concentrated at the borders of Ukraine at least 20% of the personnel of the Russian armed forces in four directions of the offensive. In total, the Russian army has about 900 thousand people, writes the publication.
According to the publication, all units of the Russian armed forces are involved in the war in Ukraine that can go on the offensive: all Ground armies – 11 combined arms and one tank, all offensive forces of the Airborne Forces, all intelligence units, marine infantry of all four fleets, self -propelled artillery , bomber, assault and fighter aircraft.
The 15th Alexandrian motorized rifle brigade from the Samara region is also involved in the war – the only peacekeeping connection in the country that Russia has the right to send international conflicts under the auspices of the UN.
