Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and the Minister of National Defense of Turkey Hulushi Akar held a telephone conversation, during which they discussed the situation in Ukraine. This was reported on May 2 to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“During the negotiations, the current situation was discussed in Ukraine, including humanitarian issues,” the report said.
It is noted that the telephone conversation between Shoigu and Akar took place on the initiative of the Turkish side.
