“The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan introduced me to an excellent initiative, and we quickly came to an agreement. Azerbaijan will produce a large amount of green electricity, which will be delivered to Georgia, and from there to Romania on the underwater pipeline. And today we agreed that Hungary will join To this large-scale plan, because in order for the project to receive the support of the EU, it is necessary to participate at least two member countries. Thus, it will be possible to supply green electricity to Hungary, which we partially can use and partially act as a transit route ” , – wrote Siyyarto in social networks.

According to Siyyarto, the investment can be implemented in three to four years, and the introduction of such a scheme would bring Hungary closer to achieving the goals of carbon neutrality.

“The current situation clearly indicates the importance of opening new sources of energy and their inclusion in supply. One (and in the short -term and medium term, if not the only, the most important), Azerbaijan is in this regard,” Siyyarto concluded
