Hungary refused to support a new package of sanctions against Russia

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban notified the head of the European Commission Ursulu von der Layin that Budapest was not ready to support the sixth package of anti-Russian sanctions in its current form. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

Hungary, according to Orban, will not be able to accept the rejection of Russian oil, which is a condition for a new package of sanctions.

Hungary Prime Minister noted that restrictions should be introduced only when all the countries of the European Union are ready for them. He noted that if Brussels insists on the embargo for Russian oil, he will tolerate a historical failure in European integration.
