The trial in the criminal case of the 31-year-old Gulnar Velisade, accused of killing his spouse, ended.
According to haqqın.az, the incident occurred on January 30 this year in the village of Govsan Surakhan district Baku. According to the indictment, Gulnar hit her husband, Elshan Hadizade, with a knife in the house where they lived. The man died of bleeding, as he was hospitalized late.
The woman was charged under Article 126.3 of the Criminal Code. In court, Velisad said that she was repeatedly subjected to violence by her husband. On the day of the incident, the husband began to beat her and strangle her. The woman noted that she wounded her husband, being in a state of affect.
During the interrogations of witnesses in court, it turned out that the wounded Hadizade did not allow an ambulance for several hours. A friend of the murdered, Azad Asadov, said that Elshan did not want his wife to be taken to the police, and insisted that he accidentally wounded himself. According to Asadov, Hadizade told him in secret that Gulnar hit him with a knife.
The children of the spouses are the guardianship of their paternal grandmother, Makhira Khadieva. By a decision of the Court of Gulnar Velizade, he was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
