That is, Azerbaijan as a country that has no exit to the open sea, Today it is becoming a regional transport hub – not only from east to south and back, but also from north to south. The North -Swo -yug transport corridor passes through Azerbaijan, and there is no other route option. This corridor becomes important, for example, for Russian companies, because Today, due to sanctions, they cannot transport goods to Europe, ”the president said.
Ilham Aliyev emphasized that the location on two regional transport corridors increases the geopolitical significance of Azerbaijan and creates opportunities for creating new jobs.
“We believe that the significance of the North-South transport corridor will increase to the level of the East-West corridor. They are equally important for us. Because both corridors run through our territory,” the president said.
