Azerbaijan attaches particular importance to relations with the organization of Islamic cooperation and is a supporter of the development of cooperation in the framework of the organization in all areas.
This is stated in the appeal of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the OIS member states of the Member States of the Member States
The Head of State noted that being an active member of the Azerbaijan OIS, the organization’s efforts to strengthen Islamic solidarity in the world. “In the era of global crises, new trials and difficulties facing humanity, the widespread spread of Islamic countries, it is extremely important for Muslim countries to provide mutual support to each other, strengthen Islamic unity,” said Ilham Aliyev.
The president recalled that the OIS always condemned the aggression and occupation policy of Armenia against Azerbaijan for thirty years, constantly and consistently supported the right -hand business and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan both during the Second Karabakh war and during the post -war period.
“For this, we express gratitude to the member states of the organization of Islamic cooperation,” said the Azerbaijani leader.
“Unfortunately, during the years of the occupation, Armenia was deliberately destroyed, looted by our cities and villages, cultural and religious monuments were destroyed. In addition, according to preliminary estimates, Armenia in our territories, which was kept under the occupation, laid about a million mines, and committed it. There is urbicide, culturocide and ecocide. Armenians who have committed genocide against the cultural heritage of our people, destroying our mosques to the foundation, insulted not only our feelings, but also the feelings of Muslims of the whole world, ”Aliyev said.
According to him, the OIS strongly condemned the destruction, the plunder of the Armenia of Islamic Historical and Cultural Monuments, the shrines and desecration of mosques in the previously occupied territories, Azerbaijan.
