Ilham Aliyev: world will never be what it was until February

“It is difficult to predict in advance what a new global situation will be. Only one thing is clear – the world will never be what it was until February. The world has changed, and the flow of these changes depends on the factors – how much the war in Ukraine will last, how this end will end War, what will be the balance of power in the world and, of course, in the region? ” This, in particular, said the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, speaking at a plenary meeting of the 48th International Forum in Chernobibio.

The head of state noted that as an independent country, protection against external factors will be priority for Azerbaijan.

“Because our countries have already internally integrated. We have unity for the internal development of our country. Therefore, we are interested in the consequences of a new global order for our region, which will be the positions of the main countries of the region, which we will achieve in our plans to achieve the world with Armenia, and what will be the future of our children and new generations, ”said Ilham Aliyev.

The president emphasized that Azerbaijan controls the situation and will act in accordance with its strategy.

“At the same time, we cannot ignore the fact that the world is changing. We also see a complete violation of international legal norms. These international legal norms were violated in our case. We actively turned to the international community while our The territories were under occupation. Resolutions of the UN Security Council were not carried out for 27 years. Now we are observing violations of international law in many other regions. We see that some countries think that they can ignore this, and they don’t care. So, this is a completely new situation. What will be the new world order? What will be with international institutions, the UN? Will it be updated or another organization will appear? Those who are able to promote new ideas in the world will be responsible for all this, ”the head of state said.
