In Armenia, they do not believe their army: plan to create “self-defense detachments”

Recently, on the initiative of the Congregation “Combat Brotherhood”, in collaboration with the Scientific and Educational Strategic Public Organization “Bardzunk”, a discussion was held on the need for a cardinal change of the self-defense model in Armenia, the Greparak newspaper writes.

In particular, the principles of the concept of “Armed People” were discussed.

The concept of “armed people” implies a gradual transition to a model of people’s self-defense, including gradual expansion and liberalization of the right to weapon weapons.

In addition to members of public organizations “Combat fraternity” and “Bardzunk”, there was a wide range of specialists at the discussion: lawyers, military experts, historians, economists, public figures. In absentia, representatives of the diaspora took part in the discussion.

During the discussion, the participants agreed to continue the series of discussions on the topic, turning discussion principles into existing models, worked out their legal, political, military-technical aspects, forming working groups, as well as to hold a public discussion on the topic, making a question in the agenda.
