The number of refugee attacks and hostels for refugees in Germany in 2023 increased almost doubled compared to the previous year. This is evidenced by the data of Neuen Osnabrücker newspapers, published on the basis of the government response.
So, according to data, in 2022, 1248 attacks on refugees occurred in the country, while in 2023 this figure increased to 2378.
As a result of attacks on refugees, 313 of which were with the use of violence, 219 people were injured.
In 2022, 70 attacks on hostels for refugees occurred in Germany, while in 2023 this figure increased to 180.
