Instagram Creators announced a new feature, thanks to which users can now choose their pronoun in profile settings. This developers reported on their official page on Twitter.
The pronoun will be displayed to the right on behalf of the person, it will be highlighted by small gray letters. If desired, the user will be able to display its pronoun only for subscribers.
According to the NBC News edition, an additional opportunity will save a place in the description of the profile (Bio), where the number of characters is limited. Journalists note that fresh feature can look like people with the Nebarin Gender – those who do not consider themselves a man or a woman.
New feature is already available in the USA, Great Britain, Canada and Australia. In the future, the company plans to include a feature in other countries. The fact of the pronoun will appear in the Russian version of the service, instagram representatives have not yet been specified.
