According to the existing conceptual development scheme, the construction of the metro line in Khirdalan is irrelevant, said Bakhtiyar Mammadov, spokeswoman for Bakuzinsky Metropolitan CJSC.
He noted that the main priority in solving transport issues as a whole is not the construction of a metro station, namely integrated transport, ensuring a convenient transition from one mode of transport to another, as well as providing people with greater transport selection: “Metro is considered intracity transport. In this sense, we have not yet reached a complete solution to these issues, provided that the center of Baku is the main one. Khirdalan, Sumgayit are large cities.
