The British writer of Kashmir origin Salman Rushdi was attacked by an unknown man before performing in the state of New York, reports Associated Press.
According to media reports, the unknown person attacked Rushdi when he climbed the stage of the educational center in Chautokva in the west of the state of New York, where he was supposed to make a lecture. The agency does not exclude that the attacker could be armed with a knife.
