In one of the cafes in the city of Ede (Netherlands), several people are held hostage. This was reported by the Netherlands police on the social network x.
A lot of police vehicles and fire brigades are directed to the scene.
The Dutch police asked people to stay away from the center of Ede. In addition, the evacuation of 150 nearby houses for security purposes is reported.
At the same time, the police noted that the incident is not related to terrorism.
Three hostages were released early in the morning, but the incident continued.
