In operations abroad, Iran makes a bet on drones

“Brigade Kuds” Corps of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution expands the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in operations abroad. This is reported by Agence France-Presse with reference to the statement of the National Council of the Resistance of Iran, where the opposition forces are concentrated.

According to the application, there are currently eight factories for the production of various types of drone in Iran. They mainly collect shock and reconnaissance CAPP using spare parts from China, South Korea and other countries.

The National Council declares that Brigada Kuds uses drones mainly in operations in Syria, Iraq and Yemen. At the same time, the Islamic Republic is trying to some extent to modernize its air force with the help of UAV technologies. When commanding Iran’s air-space forces, a command of unmanned aerial vehicles was created, and the CAPP was placed on the bases in various parts of Iran.

The guard of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution brings his proxy from abroad to Iran to train them to use drone. The CAPA themselves in the trucks are delivered to Iraq and Syria, and by sea in Yemen.

Access to the technology of BPL Tehran has received in recent years and produces small unmanned aerial vehicles along with a long-range CAPP, equipped with rockets. However, according to experts, Iran in this area lags behind such countries as Turkey and Israel.
