In Russia, they do business on mobilization

Private University “Synergy” in Moscow sold fake certificates of confirmation of study for men who wanted to evade mobilization. Now the city prosecutor’s office and the police are checked, writes Moscow Times.

Law enforcement officers identified “over 800 facts of fictitious admission to the university in order to avoid mobilization.” “180 thousand rubles were taken for the issuance of one such certificate at the university,” they told reporters. The document allowed to get a delay from mobilization.

In relation to some university employees, criminal cases of large fraud using their official position were instituted (part 3 of article 159 of the Criminal Code). They can go to prison for up to 6 years. Now investigators are setting an exact number of criminal facts and persons involved in them. They also find out who was issued such certificates.
