In South Ossetia, they decided not to hold a referendum on joining Russia

The so -called “president” of South Ossetia (Georgia) Alan Gagloev suspended the decree of his predecessor on the appointment of a “referendum” on the entry of the republic into Russia, RIA Novosti reports.

Gagloev also decided to consult with the Russian Federation throughout the complex of issues related to further integration. It is noted that Gagloev in his decree noted the inadmissibility of a one -sided decision of the referendum on issues affecting the legal rights and interests of the Russian Federation. At the same time, he emphasized that he fully supports the initiative of the “citizens of the republic” about further integration with Russia.

On May 13, the former “president” of the separatist region Anatoly Bibilov signed a decree on the holding on July 17 of the “referendum” on the entry of South Ossetia into the Russian Federation.
