In Stambul Strait, movement of ships was restored

In the Stambul Strait, the movement of ships was restored, interrupted due to technical problems at one of the tankers.

This was reported in the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.

The movement in the strait was suspended in both directions after the 244-meter Guanyin tanker, heading from Russia to China, announced the engine breakdown at the Türkel beacon.

According to the coastal service, the breakdown was eliminated and the ship was tucked to an anchor parking lot.

The Istanbul Strait is open to the movement of ships in the southern-sveory direction from 11:20 local time.
