The United States does not see the opportunity to deprive Russia of the Status of the Permanent Member of the UN Security Council, the spokesman for the White House Jen Psaka said, TASS reports.
“I do not see such an opportunity,” she said, commenting on the corresponding appeals of the Ukrainian leadership.
“We are focused on isolating Russia and call it to answer,” Psaka added.
The spokesman also stated that the US authorities are not going to create an offside zone over Ukraine. She clarified that such a decision threatens the war with Russia, which Washington wants to avoid.
