In WHO declared danger of new Covid-19 mutations

Head of the Russian Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) Melit Vuynovich in a conversation with the “Russian newspaper” told about the danger of new mutations COVID-19.

According to her, the available data suggests that some recently identified concerns options may have increased transmission compared to previously circulated options.

The representative of the organization noted that the probability of re-entering the virus and the resumption of infection will continue to be maintained in each country, and it will be necessary to constantly monitor, since COVID-19 circulates between countries and inside them.

Vuynovich suggested that the high risks of the export and import of the virus between countries as a result of international trips will remain. At the same time, the impact on countries will depend on a variety of factors, including whether there is a constant transmission of infection at the local level and whether health systems work at full power.
