India: freight train drove without engineers 80 km

A freight train without driver drove about 80 km from Indian territory Jammu and Kashmir to Penjab.

According to The Indian Express, a composition that was waiting at the Railway Station in the Catua to change the train brigade, remained with the engine on.

Attempts to stop the train were unsuccessful. The uncontrollable composition at high speed drove about 80 km and stopped at the Basschi-Bassi station in front of a wooden obstacle.

An investigation of the circumstances of the incident is conducted.
