India stopped joint-generation fighter project with Russia

India suspended participation in the program of creating the first Indian fighter fifth generation FGFA (Fifth Generation Fighter AirCraft) based on Russian Su-57. This was announced in an interview with RBC Director of the Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shuguev.

According to Shugueva, today the aircraft is in pilot operation.

He noted that the program launched in 2007 is suspended “to the moment the SU-57 adoption by the Russian armed forces.”
